Our main objectives are:

  • To increase participation in adult learning as a mean of improving economic growth, social cohesion, active citizenship and personal fulfilment, by removing barriers to participation, and increasing the overall quality and efficiency of the sector;

  • To contribute to raising the skills of the European labour force and in particular of those who are low skilled or who have left school early.

  • To support peer learning activities.


To fulfill this elements, EAN organises courses recorded in the European Grundtvig Database, addressed to people involved in the education of adults people that want to attend a training activities in a Country different from their Country of origin. Furthermore, our portal gathers a wide list of traing offers that can be checked in our Training Catalogue. In the face of constant change and the consequences of the economic crisis, adults regularly need to enhance their personal and professional skills and competences. Given the current instability in the labour market and the need to reduce social exclusion, this applies particularly to the low skilled and the low qualified. However, all adults can benefit significantly from lifelong learning.

EAN offers a course addressed to personnel working in the field of adults’ training, in primis teachers and trainers, in order to get new information and skills about European Public Procurement Procedures. The course contents will be particularly useful to teachers working with entrepreneurs and company employees, especially SMEs, where high-skilled people expert on public procurement and internationalisation are more and more essential.

How to support Lifelong learning opportunities through European Programmes: LLP and more


The course is conceived with the aim of improving competences of teachers and other staff involved in the educational field about EU policies and programmes supporting the lifelong learning. In particular the objective of the course is to help participants to identify the sources of information on EU Programmes supporting the lifelong learning in Europe and to explain them through the key-concepts, aims, priorities and the categories of beneficiaries.

European Financial Tools for project start-up: the Fund-Raising approach


The course has been conceived with the aim of training people directly or indirectly involved in the field of training to inform the economic operators of their Country of origin about the project financing practice and in particular where look for finance projects contributing to the Lisbon economic goals. In particular the objective of the course is to make trainers active players in supporting the spread of knowledge in the field of financial opportunities at international level.

Adults for Innovative and Creative Urban Regeneration


Cities have begun to act as communities of knowledge, innovation and creativity. In this context initiative relating to education of citizens and in particular of adult citizens plays an important role in improving and developing the regeneration of cities as innovative and intelligent spaces The main objective of the course is to give participants practical skills and basic knowledge on how education and training of adults European citizens may contribute to the development of “knowledge-based cities”.

Teaching Adults Environmental Sustainable Development


In the knowledge surveys done on energetic consumption, the quality of water, the waste disposal it has been noticed that there is a difference on competencies and perception of problems depending on the age of persons with a decrease among adults that seem to consider of less importance issues concerning environment protection. This lack of information and knowledge often leads to behaviors that are not environment-friendly.
